Summer Camp is the most fun and educational summer camp in the Netherlands. With more than 30 locations throughout the Netherlands there is always a Summer Camp near you. During Summer Camp we introduce the children to the English language. Of course we do this in a fun way. At Summer Camp fun comes first! Besides the English classes there is plenty of room for games, exercise, music and creative activities. All in English!
English is becoming increasingly important in the internationalizing world. In secondary school, while studying, on the Internet and at work: increasingly, English is the language of communication. It is well known that learning a second language at an early age is very wise. The second language thus becomes part of the child's development. Offering a second language also appears to have a positive effect on the child's further general development.
In many elementary schools, English is present but often lacks the proper knowledge and consistent delivery of lessons. Five days of Summer Camp equals 35 hours of English classes. In a favorable case, this is the extent of all English classes in a school year. Summer Camp is, of course, especially fun, but also very sensible.
The philosophy of Summer Camp is that children learn best when they are relaxed and having fun. And we see this every year with all of our Summer Campers.
Our classes are divided into four categories. We have English Class, Art Class, Sports & Dance and Songs & Conversations. These four sections are covered daily during Summer Camp.
We believe in "doing English" rather than learning English.
The children are relaxed and engaged in fun varied activities where they do everything in English. By coupling learning with a fun activity, there is a much greater learning curve. To maximize the quality of our classes, the number of children per group is a maximum of 15 children.
At Summer Camp, children are divided into separate groups based on their grade level. Each group has its own curriculum tailored to the developmental stage of the relevant age group. This takes into account both the cognitive and motor skills of the child.
In order to optimize the quality of our lessons, the maximum number of children per group is 15. Depending on the number of registrations per grade level, a different division may be made or multiple groups may be formed.
Group division
Level 1: School groups 1 & 2 (4 and 5 years old)
Level 2: School groups 3 & 4 (6 and 7 years old)
Level 3: School groups 5, 6 & 7* (8, 9 & 10 (11*) years old)
